對於人的了解不一定會用 understand 來表示，有時候會用 know（聽發音）來表示，know 本身是認識或知道的意思，不過當你認識一個人，就有可能會了解一個人，英文說 I know him. 可以解讀為我認識他，也可以解讀為我了解他。
